Vince Vulcan, nephew of a famous Vulcan science officer, grew up in Bakersfield, California, unaware of his ancestry. After a rough childhood, he dropped out of high school, doing odd jobs, before landing in jail for wire fraud. He finally found his calling as a pitchman at the local swap meet, where he sells absorbent towels to the masses in his distinctive hand-sewn, reflex-blue costume.
